Sam is possibly the last living son of GMHR Am/Mex/Intl CH Cook's Midnight Bandit MH TT who is still available at stud. He is 78- 80# in good working condition and measures 23.5" at the withers. His most recent litters born this winter both resulted in 11 puppies. Not bad for a 10 yr old!!!
Sam is co-owned (and resides) with Gail Gegg in W. WA. He completed his CD (3 for 3 under 3 different handlers even!), his Rally Advanced (also 3 for 3!) title, and most recently his Rally Excellent (also 3 for 3!) titles. He also was awarded a LRC, Inc. Conformation Certicate (CC) with nice scores, showing he conforms to the AKC / LRC breed standard.
Sam's sister (Sonya) resides with me and besides being IntCH, CDX, JH and RA titled, whelped 3 very nice litters for me. Rion is another littermate and is the highest titled WindyCanyon dog to date, having numerous field, obedience, agility and tracking titles (see Other Titleholders page).
Sam has been hunted over, and has sired a handful of litters. One of his pups (Ginny) earned her JH at 7 mos and her first SH pass at 8 mos, finishing her SH in the minimum (4) tests. Ginny is now a MH (earned first Q at 2.5 yrs old) and most recently completed her TDX (Tracking Dog Excellent title), and is also obedience, rally and agility titled.
Sam has matured beautifully as seen in photos above, and is a joy to live with. He is a very polite but goofy boy who loves to carry anything he can in his mouth. The tail is constantly going.
Sam is available at stud to approved bitches. Stud inquiries should be addressed to WindyCanyon Labs for initial review. Bitch MUST be EIC Clear. Please include copies or links to all breed appropriate clearances, pedigree, proof of AKC full registration, and be willing to discuss your breeding goals and timeline with Gail and myself.
