Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind....

Prince Peter's Royal Gala CDX JH CGC CC "Gala" (5/12/95 - 7/3/09)
Prince Peter of Meadowbrook x Whitepowder Winnifred CDX JH CGC.
CHIC# 3132: OFA hips good, elbows normal, cardiac normal, EIC Clear, CERF normal through 10 yrs.
Gala was from my very first litter, and was my first dog to compete with (Novice A obed). She convinced me that hunt tests were much more to her liking after retrieving a free ranging chicken (obedience style to front!) in an orchard one day though. The rooster lost just 2 feathers in the process, but was still madder than heck when I released him! I'll never forget. I nearly had to peel Gala off the ceiling of the car for the next 2 hrs... and so I arranged to start training for JH that very day.
Gala was also the best puppy raiser I can ever imagine.. and she screened every buyer -- and to be honest, probably had the final word on buyers too! Thanks for over 14 great years, Gala!
Thanks for the Dance........
WindyCanyon's Ima Pink Lady CDX SH OA OAJ CGC CC "Rosa" (2/15/99 - 8/20/08)
Tracking Cert'd, PSLRA Versatile Lab 2003 and mom to 16 wonderful puppies, including 5 PSLRA All Arounder / Versatile Labs
CHIC# 9145: OFA hips excellent, elbows normal, cardiac normal, EIC Clear, CERF annually since 6 weeks
Taken while still in her prime by a careless human, Rosa died tragically after ingesting strychnine poison at 9.5 yrs old. She enjoyed her last 3 mile "walkie" that evening with me, her mom (Gala), pups and grandpup, doing all the things she loved to do-- she swam in the Roza Canal, munched on new crop apples from the orchard floor, flushed up quail and doves, and enjoyed one last wild "butt tuck" session with her beautiful granddaughter, Sonya.
Rosa's memories and talent live on in her pups and grandpups.
You were always such a good girl, Rosa; so obedient, so reliable. You certainly didn't deserve to die that way (no animal does!). I've been told there are lots of birdies up in Dog Heaven, and I sure hope that is true.
We miss you so much, Rosa.
Love, Mom & the gang
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end,
The way it all would go.
Our lives are better left to chance,
I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance.
